Convert video and extract audio
Upload a video, pick an output format and download the result without installing software.
Convert videos between popular formats such as MP4, WebM, AVI, MKV, MOV and GIF directly in your browser. You can also extract the audio track as MP3, WAV, AAC, OGG, FLAC or M4A — ideal for podcasts, soundtracks or smaller files.
Upload or drag a video file, choose whether to convert the video or extract audio only, select the output format and start processing. A progress indicator tracks conversion and the final file downloads automatically.
The FFmpeg engine runs locally via WebAssembly: your videos are never uploaded to servers. On the first conversion, the WASM core is loaded from a trusted CDN (jsDelivr); after that, processing happens entirely on your device.
Frequently asked questions
Which video formats can I convert?
The tool accepts MP4, WebM, AVI, MKV, MOV, WMV, FLV, M4V, MPEG and other common formats. Output can be MP4, WebM, AVI, MKV, MOV or animated GIF.
How do I extract audio from a video?
Select "Extract audio" mode, choose the desired format (MP3, WAV, AAC, OGG, FLAC or M4A) and click convert. The audio file will download automatically.
Are my videos uploaded to the internet?
No. Conversion happens in your browser. Only the FFmpeg core (open source) is downloaded from a CDN on first use; your video content stays local.
Why can conversion take a while?
Videos are large files and encoding via WebAssembly takes longer than native apps. Large files or GIF conversions tend to take more time depending on your hardware.
Do I need to install FFmpeg?
No. FFmpeg is loaded automatically in the browser as WebAssembly. Use an up-to-date Chrome, Firefox, Edge or Safari for best performance.
